Ready To See A New Series On Hulu About Prostitutes, Produced, Written & Directed by Women?!

Well!...Talk about Original Series with some punch!  Harlots premiers on Hulu on Wednesday, March 29th. Set in an 18th Century brothel in London, this new series is written, executive produced and directed by women!  The series stars Downton Abbey's Jessica Brown Findlay and is loosely based and inspired by a book, Harris's List of Convent Garden Ladies.  A book written that was a best- seller in the 1760's up to 1800.  This series is said to be told from the women's point of view.  Executive Producer Alison Owen told E! News ,   "So everything is looking out rather than looking in at these women.  That's not to say that can't have lots of fun. And you'll see that there's as much male nudity as there is female nudity in the program. But that was very important for us for it to be empowering, to look at these women in a different way -- to see how they looked at the world rather than to see how men looked at them. There's no male gaze. It's all looking outwards."  Will you watch Harlots?  I know I am interested!-Zenja
