The Las Vegas Golden Knights opened their second round playoff series in convincing fashion, routing the San Jose Sharks 7-0 before over 18,000 raucous fans at T-Mobile Arena. The Sharks never knew what hit them as the Knights went off with four first period goals. Vegas scored four and a half minutes into the game and added another goal 26 seconds later to go up 2-0 before most fans got their first beer. Two more first period goals and a goal three and a half minutes into the second period by Shea Theodore sent the Sharks starting goalie to the bench. Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury notched his third shutout of the playoffs and Knights fans went home extremely happy. Game two is Saturday evening at T-Mobile Arena at 5pm. The series will move to San Jose for games three and four on Monday and Wednesday. Don't put those brooms away just yet!
