Sisolak Will Face Laxalt For Governor In November

Steve Sisolak beat Chris Giunchigliani in the Democratic Gubernatorial primary race yesterday and will face Republican Adam Laxalt in November's general election. Sisolak's win was decisive as he garnered 50 percent of the vote to 38 percent for "Chris G." In other races, Democrat Jacky Rosen won the right to face off against incumbent Republican Dean Heller for U.S. Senate, and Democrat Steven Horsford, trying to return to Congress, came out victorious in his primary battle and will take on incumbent Republican Cresent Hardy in November for the 4th Congressional District seat. Democrat Dina Titus got 80 percent of the vote and will run for re-election for her 1st Congressional District seat and Republican Mark Amodei got the nod to try and retain his 2nd Congressional District seat. In Clark County, Sheriff Joe Lombardo was re-elected as Clark County Sheriff.
