Runnin' Rebels Play San Jose State Today At Thomas And Mack

The UNLV Runnin' Rebels had gotten off to a better than expected 3-0 start in Mountain West conference play but that all came to a crashing halt as they were soundly thrashed on Thursday night 106-88 at Air Force. The injury bug has caught up to the Rebels, who have lost forwards Shakur Juiston and Cheickna Dembele for the season and also didn't have Forward Mbacke Diong in the lineup due to a sprained ankle. Air Force took full advantage of the Rebels' deficiencies inside, outscoring UNLV in the paint and outrebounding them 35-31. UNLV will try to regain it's footing today at 4:30pm at the Thomas & Mack Center against a San Jose State team that comes in with a record of 3-13, 0-4 in conference play.
