The road is set for another championship run for Serena Williams at Wimbledon. Serena advanced to the semifinals by taking out Camila Georgi of Italy in the quarters. This is a Wimbledon that has seen most of top women players eliminated early, including top seed Simona Halep. Only seventh seeded Caroline Wozniacki remains of the top ten seeded women. The upsets have set up a seemingly golden path to the championship for Serena, who was seeded 25th, and she has been taking advantage. Serena will face Julia Goerges of Germany in the semifinals. The other half of the draw pits Angelique Kerber against Jelena Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open champion. Serena's looking for her first major title since giving birth to her daughter. She's seeking her eighth Wimbledon title and 24th major championship overall.
